Morning, all. :hi:

Glad you're continuing to improve, Lil.

Yay for nourishment and caffeine (or drug-induced relaxation).

I'm currently having caffeine and nourishment prior to departing for a routine appt with the specialist. I'm glad I only have to see him about 3 times a year because these appts take up 2/3 of the day what with the driving there and back (and the fact that he's always running late).

Oh, good luck Jay! A good specialist is worth the time and distance. :Hug2:

How are you doing, Lil? Healing ok? Ready to boogie yet?

 Mom's butt went in to a muscle spasm. We had to clarify, buttock or pucker thing (sphincter was just not coming to mind).

The things that have become acceptable to discuss. I wonder if we mortify the Home health people? I know we have embarrassed the PT.

Bear in mind, the morning that the Home health nurse (and her trainee) came out the second? time, we informed them that this was a no laxative household ... anymore. Been through that crap twice, not ever doing it again.

And then we decided that the right rail on the bed is bourbon and the left rail on the bed is vodka.

Find the humor in the little things. It makes the big things more bearable.

*YAY for driving! And not pumping gas Lil!

Naps are wonderful Sara.... but so is cafeine.

hope the appointment goes quickly Jay!

Hope your day is going well BF.

So IQ box is the same as a DVR to us non AUS speakers.

Nah, a DVR's called a DVR here too. The IQ is similar, but it's only used with Foxtel (our pay TV service). You can remote record and do other fancy stuff with it. Or so I hear.

:Hug2: It's a really bizarre tale.

Problem is, it's not bizarre. Feels all too possible...

(Thanks for the hug.)

I have zero time to back read so I have no idea what you guys have been up to but I just wanted to say Hi :hi: and now I've gotta run. Hopefully I'll see you all soon!

Bye :hi:

Hi, Pepper! Bye, Pepper. :hi:

Been through that crap twice

So to speak...

Hope your doc's running on time, Jay.

I'm ok - just very sad for people I care about who have been dealt crappy hands, lately. And wishing I could help, do more, and not really being able to do anything.

Ah, that sucks. There's not much worse than being powerless to help when loved ones are struggling/suffering. :(

Exactly. And in one of the cases, I know exactly what my friend is going through and I know how horrible it is. And I'm too far away. :(

I'm sure they'll appreciate knowing you're with them in spirit and support, if not physically.

They do, and I have open arms for when they need to chat late into the night (because of the time difference). Still sucks, though.

I'm back! (Prof is very happy with me)

Bry - I think it's hard to embarrass health people about stuff - particularly nurses. They've seen just about everything. (my oldest sister used to be an RN... couldn't embarrass her about anything health-wise)

Sara - :Hug2: It sucks so bad when friends are hurting and there isn't anything you can do to lessen the hurt.

Lil - if you don't like the kookaburra lullaby, we can always sing you John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt instead. :evil

:hi:

Glad the visit went well, Jay.

I regaled Mr. BF with an emailed rendition of "I am Henry the Eighth" earlier today (long story). He was not impressed.
