I would not leap to depressed just yet, Bry. You mentioned that you're really tired a couple of times, plus the stress of the headaches. You've really had a challenging time. I often have trouble distinguishing between being sick or tired or both and being depressed.

Oy! I don't mean to argue with you about how you're feeling. Just nudging you to give yourself a wee bit of a break.

That was day 3 of the power being out, and dealing with 90 degree / 90% humidity in the aftermath of Irma. At the time, my headaches were coming at a regular interval, and there were other *ahem* physiological changes that I associate with a cluster episode, and it was freaking me out. In the week after the power came back on, I slowly got back to feeling (more or less) normal (at least what passes for normal for me).

I was also enormously homesick. It was around then that it really hit me that my husband (who has been living in Hawaii for the last 3 years in the navy) would get home before I would. — That had started out as a joke between me, the partner and the boyfriend, and suddenly it was reality. That was also during the time when everything got put on hold to go see the hip revision specialist about the complications from mom’s surgery.

Yea, There was a lot of stress going on. :) You are welcome to nudge me anytime you want to. Cause so often, I get focused on minutia in my own existence and forget to give me the break I give to others.

Did anyone see the WA Post headline that some official from N. Korea feels that Trump's rhetoric is the equivalent of a declaration of war? And I guess I'd better take this one over to Activism, etc....

It wasn’t just any official, it was Kim Jung un, the dictator of N. Korea. This one has me a little concerned. Apart from the entire nuclear threat, husband - navy, and all the family in San Diego (better than Hawaii ... but still)

On another front: because the chapter I'm editing is considering phrenology, I suddenly had the organization for the NaNoWriMo thing I'm going to do appear in my mind fully fleshed out! Organization is half the battle with writing. At least that's my thought of the moment. Focusing on beginning, middle, and end helped me gain the ability to write a bit of fiction.

When I start something new, I’m not sure where it’s going. It comes in the flash of a scene. If I remember it, and write it down, The characters generally come back and ‘talk’ to me. After a bit of time, as situations are presented, I will develop whatever it is, and then pick back up with the writing. So I guess, I’m anti-entropic? I go from a mess to to Organized?

And speaking of crafts, I'm knitting a "sampler" scarf to learn new stitch patterns. I'm on only my 3rd try. I had to rip out the first two for various reasons.

What is a sampler scarf?
When I fly home, maybe I will bring back the blanket I have been working on. I think it needs like either 3 or 4 rows before it is completed.

Popping in. Will read back through all your chattering when I have more time. But hark! There was a Mary Love sighting! And Ando has a pic finally. :) Gorgeous puppy!

And yes, Bry, you do have to.

And it's still a beanie.

Sorry I did a disappearing act everyone. I was determined to finish the shawl/scarf (can be worn either way) I was working on. And yes, I did finish it. :) Was just upstairs wading through #2's mess of a closet. My youngest son is a slob. There's just no other way to put it. *sigh*

And I missed Mary! Hi, Mary! :hi:

Good morning, lovelies!

Taking a quick pause between chauffeuring gigs to say hello.

Doris is giving me trouble today and it’s only 7:30 am. Saw my doctor yesterday and she basically said there’s nothing she can do. And a bunch of other disheartening things that put me in a sour mood. I am hoping today will be better.

Congrats, Jay on finishing your project. I need a new one now that the infinity scarf is done. Maybe another infinity scarf! Lol

Is “Ando” MRFs new nickname? It reminds me of Lando Calrissian from Star Wars. I’m a huge Star Wars geek. So I’m all for Ando. But I may accidentally type it as Lando. It might happen. And autocorrect really wants to make it Andy.

Oh, that’s a cute idea. I’ve never crocheted a hat before but I’ve seen the cutest yarn/pom-pom sets at the craft stores recently. Made just for hats. Maybe I’ll try that out.

Oh, Hi Jay! :e2kissy:

Hats really aren't that difficult. You should give it a go! Sounds like a good plan!

Well, hi there. :e2brows::e2flowers:e2kissy:

Wow, Jay. You’re getting awfully fresh there. You best be careful before you offend my conservative....

 I honestly can’t finish that sentence.

I wasn’t even sure how to spell conservative.

Sorry about that.

The best way to cure hiccups, I find, is mouth-to-mouth. Come here and I’ll show you how it works. :e2brows:

My logic maybe isn’t the most logical, but whatever.

And if any medical professional tries to convince you that mouth-to-mouth is NOT a good cure for hiccups, well, that’s just crazy. I would never make up something like that just to get some tongue action. Never!

*runs away*

I think I'm going to be crocheting in my sleep tonight. LOL
Oh, awesome! Then when you wake up, your project will be done!

Oh, wait....

- - - Updated - - -

I wish I could sleep and crochet at the same time. That would be awesome.

Your logic works for me!

Beats what my mother always told me to do when I had hiccups. (she always said 'hold your breath for five minutes' *g* (yes, she was joking))

Heh! If only it would work that way! I still have one scarf to do and finish BB-8 before it gets too hot to hold a crochet hook. It's already too hot for me to knit.

Okay, Jay, time for me to get back to chauffeur duties. (I totally typed “crochet duties”.)

Have a great night, sleep well, and hopefully I’ll see you tonight/tomorrow. :hi:

 Don't crochet when you're driving, Lil! It's not safe!

Thanks! I promise to be around tomorrow. Drive safe!

BF—I am with my middle son at the eye doctor. He’s learning how to put a contact lens in and take it out again. It’s not going well.
