Twiddling my thumbs and checking my email

I sent out 20 submissions this past week for two PB manuscripts (no dual submissions to the same agency). I've already received one rejection - I emailed her at midnight and got the rejection just before 9am the next day. Yay?

The waiting is torture, and I keep checking my email even though I know it could be weeks before I hear back, if I hear back at all.

Currently brainstorming my next PB to keep my mind off everything!

Querying and submitting should really be renamed 'F5ing email inbox'. :)

Here's hoping for a quick offer for you!

Starting a new project is the best way for me to stay sane through the waiting periods.

Yeah, I agree on starting a new project. You only started submitting a week ago. That's nothing in publishing time. It might be months until you hear back, so sit tight and work on something new.

I'm receiving replies (well, rejections) more than six months after submission. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and I suggest you either query more agents, or move on to a new project while you wait.

You have no influence on what the agents will decide, and waiting half a day to reply isn't going to change anything. :)
