I desperately want to see "It", but I don't have anyone to go with.

Ugh, SAME! Finding scary movie buddies is so hard. The only friends I've managed to groom are currently in the wrong state :p

I love the book but I thought the film was a huge disappointment. Perhaps it's because I'm a)English and b)middle-aged, but I couldn't make out half of the kids' dialogue.

Yea, I enjoyed it too. Surprise how fast the scenes went by. For how many characters they had to cover I felt they did a pretty good job with all of them. I do wonder though if it would have been better to keep the circle of friends smaller to allow more time to deal with some. Though, based on how the future plays out I guess I can see why. Felt it was pretty good feel to the book. Also, while Ritchie stole the movie, HUGE shout-out to all of the kid actors, especially the one that played Georgie. Incredible for his age. Interesting some of the changes they made for the film compared to the book, interested to see how the sequel covers certain things now.
