Industrial quantities of Dr. Pepper and some chips. Dried shrimps, monster slim jims, and/or funyuns if I'm feeling fancy.

Strong coffee to start the morning's writing. Fresh fruit sometimes.

Oolong tea, a slice of lemon in hot water, English Breakfast tea with milk. Tea at regular intervals throughout the day.

Toast and mashed avocado. The odd handful of salted cashew nuts. Lindt dark chocolate. Cheese. A small bowl of olives, occasionally. Raw carrots when I feel virtuous.

Usually I don't want to interrpt my train of thought, but when the body insists - water vs a glass of wine, and cheese or fruit.

Carrots and hummus. And more hummus. And then some more.

Also, nachos.

Interestingly enough, I don't drink coffee anymore.

Really? Writing snacks?

Writing snacks? That's a thing?

Who knew? I'm heard of making snacks, or baking snacks, but never writing snacks. But OK, let's give it a shot: It was a dark and fluffy bite....

Uh, it's not working. Is there, like, a recipe or something?

We bought a big bag of string cheese sticks recently for our toddler... but I think her parents have eaten more of the sticks than she has. They're so delicious.

Coffee during daytime hours.

Most of my best writing is between the hours of 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. During that time, I keep a bottle of peach or blackberry Bird Dog Whiskey and a shot glass to keep track of it. :snoopy:

Cheese sticks are awesome, especially wrapped in biscuit dough and baked for 20 minutes. Particularly smoked string cheese, with a little chopped onion thrown in.

I made myself violently ill from over indulging on string cheese as a child. To this day I can't stand the sight, smell, or taste of it.

In an attempt to curb my sugar intake, I've gone on a green tea kick. Instead of a second (or third) soda during the day, I brew a cup of tea. Made it a week so far. We'll see how far my willpower takes me.
