I am Owen. I crave poetry as much as an alcoholic does anything alcohol. Previously, I had posted many things with no clue what I was doing. I am back now with a purpose. Chasing Light
Light! Oh' Light!
Cast down upon me
Your bright white glow-
Guide me to my soul.
I chase, I watch
The light- I'm tailing
Fading but never lost-
My guide, I'll follow.
See not the darkness
The swirling black
Surrounding us both-
Have you not a care?
I track as the days pass
Spending this life I live
In search of my soul-
I've been broken since.
So chase I shall
Even if I can't catch you
Tirelessly I will follow-
Lead me to my soul- My guide.
Light, you fight for me
This darkness ever surrounding
Shatter this darkness- Please!-
Please, return my soul to me.
Light, my hope
Guided me to my soul
For now I feel somewhat whole-
I'll follow wherever you go.

Eternal
O' God!
What has become of me?
To damn me here for eternity
And watch my heart beat and bleed.
The drum beat- constant
My battered heart still beats-
Am I going insane?
I know not this place
Or the one that I came.
God let there be light!
Brighten up my cage-
Let me see clearer
If eternally I must stay.
There be no escape
Why do I search still?
This cage, locked tight
Holds my soul- Empty
And my heart in dismay.
O' God!
Is there any hope?
Or do you lock me away
Until the end of all days?
If pain is what you want
Then rip my heart open
Tear my soul to shreds-
You can leave me broken
This pain and sorrow I deserve.
