Oh yeah, I agree. I don't want to have a theme forced on me. I just like the inspiration! I can always write Lovecraftian spacepunk in space for another story that isn't Sisyphus.

My mom just sent me a video of a Christmas tree being delivered by Santa to the Biltmore house. Poor Halloween's just holding on to its place by the skin of its teeth.

I don't have to worry about Thanksgiving OR Hallowe'en here. I've been planning my 'assault' on Christmas since early October. 
Have all the 'big' present shopping done (just gotta wait for it to be delivered now) - only bits and pieces left to do. AND I started the baking yesterday. I love having a chest freezer.
Also... closer to sisyfus time!

Honey, I'm Canadian. We've had Thanksgiving.
On a Canuck note, I just found out, as something of a fast food aficionado, that Americans who eat at Taco Bell, are only, just now, getting french fries added to their menu. I was astounded. For years I've been having a concoction called "Fries Supreme" at my nearby Bell, and enjoying the low level cancerous stomach ache that comes about 45 minutes after consumption. I had no idea it was strictly a Canadian thing.
