Wow I honestly have/had no idea. Even after I googled it, didn't ring a bell. LOL

Writing exposition is like putting red pepper flakes on your pizza - the occasional burst adds depth and flavor, too much in a lump can burn the reader out.

I'd have to cheat, and I'm trying to be good.
(I did know the earlier lyrics post was from a Beck song, but I didn't know the title.)
    "...and, having writ; Moves on..."

    Loud Love - Soundgarden

Let's try something a bit easier:

"...The wolf is hungry, He runs the show
He's licking his lips, He's ready to win
On the hunt tonight, For love at first sting..."

Apparently I am recycling through my iTunes and it's missing songs, so I had to kick it in the arse to get a new schmear of tunes in my head. That's like 3 times apparently I've referenced Rock You Like A Hurricane by the Scorpions

Let's go with something completely different:

"...Heaven opens up a door where angels fear to tread..."

    *****

As an aside, between weeding, trimming brush, mowing the lawn, and all the other weekend tasks, I compiled a list of all the songs we've referenced thus far in this thread. It makes for a great set list for a weekend of work!

You can download it from my blog/website here: http://planet-fiction.com/downloads/Song_Lyrics.xlsx

I thought I knew something of the above lyrics, but upon verifying it… Nope, I was wrong. The interesting thing is this: On the way back from going for a run on the bridge this morning, “Shakedown” was playing on the radio and the DJ gave a factlet of it being on the soundtrack of Beverly Hills Cop II.

I don't know where the reference to a Bob Seger song comes from in your post. LOL

You're the music equivalent of a 'foodie'... so you're a 'songie'!

I got the singer (probably with some help from MS Wiggins' post). Now for the song . . . *argh!* I can't get the next lines in my mind!

I tried three times to spell his name. Failed.

    Next song (going waaaaaay back):

    The record hops
And all the happy times we had
    The soda shop
The walks to school now make me sad, oh
