Dave Broadfoot passed away last night. He was part of the first wave of comedians the English Canadian entertainment industry following World War II, joining Wayne & Shuster in the 1950s. He rose to prominence in the 1970s, headlining the Royal Canadian Air Farce and playing such characters as Sgt. Renfrew, the Mountie who never got his man and Big Bobby Clobber. Of the Air Farce cast members, he is only outlived by Luba Goy.
