Last Line of the Day - NaNo Style

Zack nodded. "Yeah. He’s just as worried about the pending buy out looming in the background as the rest of us are."

This last line is a little cryptic, but oh well:

“There’s one in the Clarence Street Hotel. If we're lucky, there may be a couple of men to share it with us.”

Last lines of today:

He is beautiful and dangerous and everything I want and all the things I hate. I want him, I want to forget him.

I turn and leave, dragging my bleeding heart behind me.

Around noon, Omar pulled out the lunch his wife had made (again, it didn’t quite seem fair that his wife was making lunch for three men, but it would come out in the wash eventually), and at the same time, the cruise ship appeared on the horizon.

They fear that whatever is coming will kill me.

I am flooded with relief. It's almost over.

(Last line of the day is the last line of my final script for the month. I haven't reached 50k yet, but I'm really close. I'm going to do short stories to reach the end.)

For the first time in a long time, I feel like I can get over him. For the first time since I heard his voice, I think I can survive without him.

They piled out like termites, fossicking and foraging in their single file rows.

(I might do some more writing later, but probably not, so here's my last line so far. For the record, I don't dislike the name Gertrude. It's a reference to the script I wrote that this was inspired by.)

“What would you want to name her,” Lillian asked.
“I don’t know. How about Gertrude?” Ryan suggested.
“Are you kidding me? That’s an awful name,” Lillian said.
“I guess you’re right,” Ryan said.

Might write more later, but this killer cold will probably say no:

Patched-up pockets lined with the change of the rich. Stomachs full of only garbage. Shelters packed with so many bodies that people were turned away. Nothing but emptiness.

“Dear God,” my mother mutters. “That didn't go well.”

The call ended. I returned my towel to my bathroom, set my alarm, and typed the rest of this journal entry. Time for bed.
