3570 words in. If I can push to 5000 I'll be a happy camper!

I stayed up last night to wait for midnight like I used to and managed to crunch out 2k words. Regretting it a bit because today's going to be a long day and now I'm exhausted, but also proud of myself for having a good start.

I got up at 5am and just hit 5113, which is my best daily wc ever. I'm hoping to keep this momentum and blow right past 50k (this is the year, I can feel it in my bones)

:)

I'm at 2600 but want to reach 3000 by the end of the day. I should be able to. In an ideal world I'll reach 4000 by the end of the day, but I'm not counting on it

I'm calling today just short of 2700. I'm aiming for 2500 per writing day just because of how much I have planning during weekends and holidays, meetups, and more. So hooray, goal hit!

Pacing myself. I do my best writing at night, after the kids are in bed. But so far today I've got...1,773. Hope to be 3,000 by day end.

Up to 4,121. Motivation abounds today, though I don't really want to read over everything since the delete key could make an appearance.

Onward and upward!

3619. I was far more productive than I expected, but I think some of that writing is drivel and will need to be cut. The opening two chapters are longer than I care for, and I feel I ramble in parts. That said, I have some good stuff for editing, whenever I get around to it. I haven't decided yet if I'll dedicate time throughout the month to cleaning up what I've written as I go along, like I did with my last manuscript, or leave it all until later.

I finished at 3,546. Not only is that my best day one ever, but also my best word count ever.

Like, TOTAL word count. Yeah, I usually give up pretty soon.

Not this year! I wrote a 100,000+ word first draft in around three weeks earlier this year (time off for weather, plus a lot of caffeine, helped) so I know that I can hit 50k in just a month.

Awesome job, everyone! You're all killing it so far.

Stopped for the day at around 1670. I wasn't expecting my first chapter to be this hard but it's difficult getting things off the ground. Here's hoping for smoother sailing once I get over the initial bit.

Ending for the day at 1284. Still a bit short of the magic 1667, but I like what I have, so it's a good day. :)

2066. Honestly, didn't think I'd make it. And (I thought) my opening was well plotted!

*whines* writing is hard!
