Ralph's side of the island.

He was getting up there. I liked the guy, but a while back he said something horrid and I lost a little respect (can I say this here, bad timing). It was at the end of the show when he asks for some clever last line, and I can't remember the challenge. His answer though, "Global warming is the biggest hoax ever." I used to think he was more intelligent than that. Maybe that's why it was one of the few places that still kept Pat Buchanan on as a pundit.

The show was interesting, though. This is amazing:
On Monday, McLaughlin was absent from the show, breaking his hosting streak of 34 years, seven months and one week.

"I am under the weather," McLaughlin said in a note at the beginning of this week's episode. He added that his voice was "weaker than usual," but "my spirit is strong and my dedication to the show remains absolute!"
He called in sick and died, working to the very end.
