Ladies and Gentlemen, over on Tor's website Sarah Gailey has some insightful observations about female antagonists and protagonists. For example:

I thought the discussion underneath was even more interesting. For a start off it was intelligent, respectful and thoughtful. Which is unusual for the internet!

And there were some good points made about power and its use.
