Grammar question: To ... dismay

So... how do I say something like

To Mary and Jane's dismay they are not recognized by their enemies.

Or

To Mary's and Jane's dismay they are not recognized by their enemies.

To Mary and Jane's dismay, they are not recognized by their enemies.

You do not use the possessive with the first name. Also, noticed I included a comma after dismay.

There are times when you would use the possessive with both names. Here's a link to a site with a good explanation and good examples.
