I have a different publisher see post on the thread that spawned this one. The 800 query letters are now 900-and-change. I was going to see if I could get someone to write a newspaper article on me when I hit my first 1000, but that looks like it won't be necessary. New publisher is NineStar.

I stuck with the publicist instead of trying to wiggle out when EC folded. He has been promoting me as a speaker and I've had several good outings / audiences.

I want to thank the various people here on AbsoluteWrite who tried to offer me helpful advice. Most of it, while well-intentioned, was not useful or relevant (we have massively different priorities) but not for lack of trying on your part, and many of you cheered me whenever I was making some progress, and I appreciate it.

I am thinking I may start a thread about getting published as a niche author of a highly non-mainstream book and what to expect and how to approach things.
