That camp is great!

1) Write 24,000 50,000 words of my new WIP - 43,500 words; I've had to move my goal post!
2) Go for walks; I'm totally plagiarising Mrs Mig there - Definitely a good show there, and my legs can tell, although the heat isn't exactly helping
3) Organise a long week-end somewhere to fight off cabin fever (and if I can use it for some research for my book, that's even better) Nope. No dice there. On the plus side I had a nice evening out with a French cousin who came to London last week, so that's something, at least.

Although I'm firmly in the dreary middle of my book, I'm still getting a good amount of writing done every day. I'm pleased with that!

I wrote my entire 69k word novel this month. Pity it wasn't in November, I could have won some prizes, lol. Now to editing.

My goals for this month have been a bit all over the place, still trying to re-calibrate into something I can achieve before the end of month.

Original goals:

  • FINISH DIVIDE
  • Keep on studying plot structure
  • Write 20k.
  • Make some art.
  • Keep on reading lots of books (minimum: 8) (ACTUAL:12).
Last minute revised goals:

  • Write 20k 10k.

At just a few minutes past midnight (23, to be exact), I wrote the words THE END at the end of my WIP. Three out of six goals achieved this month but I DON'T CARE because after all these months of trying and failing, this rough draft is finally DONE.

:hooray::hooray::hooray::hooray::hooray::hooray::hooray::hooray::hooray:

Off to start the August thread. Summer is nearly over - where did the time go?

3) Take three nature walks - 3 of 3 DONE
4) Write a short story NOT DONE
5) Outline next book in series NOT DONE
6) Do some Wonderbook exercises -

I have no idea where I am. I think I need to reassess for next month because while I didn't miss a single day, I had to force it a lot (though I got an potentially awesome little flash piece out of yesterday's strained attempts).

Meh. Read five novellas and one book, and some of those novellas were as long as novels and some shorter so I'm counting it.

Didn't finish any of the shorts, but two are legitimately sitting because they need some more space before I can tell if I can fix them. The other I was just bad. I did get a couple of drafts done for other pieces though.

1. Read five books. 5/5
2. Edit/fix three stories. 3halves/3
3. Catch up on reading short stories. Not at all, really >>
4. Write Ilana. Done lots :)
5. Min 500 words OR 2 pages edited per day. Yes

Right, end of month check-in time.

July Goals:

  • Hit camp NaNo target Done!
  • Organize my office
  • Read July book for Book Club Done!
Constant Goals:

  • Continue to work on getting writing-related tasks in earlier in the day
  • Work on shifting wake-up & go-to-sleep times
  • Catch up on Marvel shows (Daredevil S2, Agent Carter, Agents of SHIELD)
  • Keep writing streak going (7/12 months so far)

So, some progress, and finished two of my goals :)
