now
and now
I'm here
I am
the wind
I am
the blue sky

I am also
a grandiloquent accumulate
of me

I collect sunlight
until the rain
absconds with it

birds fly
right up there
grey clouds
a plane of air
above their wings

grey parts
the blue and gold pause
and permits rain

gulls return
panting to shore

driftwood sighs
like a boat beached

I stay
rain soaked
looking for the cupped shells
at the feet of the sea -

without longing
for a dry city street

Steppe, your work always delights me. "looking for cupped shells at the feet of the sea" so beautifully unexpected....

Really love this one.

Ah, yes you are, and it's delightful. I too really admire the 'cupped shells at the feet of the sea -' Lovely and visual. But I think I like best that you began it with
now
and now
I'm here

because that's the way we live...in every single moment. Now, and now, and now..... Bravo!
