I'm putting together the OPs from the languages stealing from each other threads that have accumulated over the last four thousand years. Help would be appreciated.

What is up with these Phoenician characters everyone is adopting. Their popping up all over the Mediterranean. You can't even pronounce them individually. You have to string a batch of them together just to make one real sound. A proper syllabary was good enough for King Minos, and it's good enough for me.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of those Trojan colonists stealing our words. It's getting so you can't tell who's speaking Etruscan and who's speaking their weird bastardized Hellenic something or other hybrid language. Oh, well at least their hospitable. Their wolf-boy leader is inviting a batch of us Sabines over for a big feast.

The Normans took our land and our goods, but I know how we can get back at them.
We steal their language and make it part of ours!
This will make English great again!

It's so difficult to communicate in a language that has so many different versions across the country. Let's integrate it, but to keep everyone happy we'll take the spelling from one area and the pronunciation from another.

Well now, you're just being silly. It's pronunciation from one area and spelling from the other.

Tut.

Dust off and nuke the whole thing from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

Translated.
I don't care much about theft of language. Hell, so long as you leave me alone, you can do your own thing.

'Cept I can't abide by this mixing of the heritages by the English. Combining Greek and Latin in the same phrase? Boy, that ain't right.

If the Egyptians spoke Welsh, wouldn't there be a lot more of the little jugs
