I've tried making them myself at home, but I don't have a sous vide. I did it in a muffin tin in a water bath. Not bad, but I still have to work on them.
Oolong tea, one cup and a slice of toast. The toast is made from bread machine bread so doesn't quite fit in the toaster. I have to toast it twice so the middle is darker than both ends. 1 pat of real butter and that is that. --s6
Tea and toast again. Today's tea: Upton's Organic Russian Caravan. I think it's my new favorite! On my toast, Smucker's raspberry jam. That's an old favorite I'd forgotten about for years -- usually I go for the homemade/artisanal jams, but ya know, Smucker's raspberry really is good jam.
Cinnamon raisin bagel w cream cheese, and of course a coffee, black.
I recently upgraded to Thomas' bagels after buying store brand for years since that's what I grew up on. Never again. The quality difference is definitely worth the extra couple dollars.
Once we get out of insanity season I'll go back to actually making breakfast again. Maybe.
New Years Day = breakfast very late & leisurely. Bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon (my guest brought it thinking it was cold smoked lox-type, it turned out to be hot-smoked but a fine example of its kind & worthy of good bagels), capers, & rugelach for breakfast dessert. And coffee. Lots of coffee. Happy New Years!
