Christmas Day Journal 2015

The morning is warm and foggy as I prepare to leave. This is the best part of the day. Soon I will endure culinary nightmares and screaming children, haughty cats and yapping dogs, ungrateful people and complete misanthropes all bent on ruining another perfectly good day of my life.

It's mazing how everyday life parallels this thread. But *points towards cabaret door* out there is a fresh world of new characters. All waiting to be studied while experiencing the joys and disappointments of today. Truly the best day of the year for any writer to tuck in and gather insight.

I'm kind of disappointed in Hansel.

I woke up and headed for the head last night and there was fat guy with red pants down around his ankles sitting there. Damned dog never barked once.

Probably because you neglected to toilet train him.

They served standing rib roast where we had Christmas eve dinner last night (no, not the shelter this time) but had only plastic spoons and forks. My wife didn't think it was a good idea to show everyone how to file the spoons into shivs but I remembered I had a Buck knife in my boot that I am supposed to be allowed to carry now. The roast was the second thing I've been able to use it for.
