and this is different from any other day?

Yeah, that's a point.

So. I just finished peeling and deveining shrimp for the scampi I plan to make. Survey: if I were to save the shells and heads, do you think I would
(a) make a delicious, savory stock for use in other recipes, or
(b) forget about them until they stink up the fridge and then throw them out ?

He's lucky I don't know how to highlight text.
This year's new edition to the family:

Save them for when you make lobster stew/bisque/or shrimp bisque. They're awesome.

You know what I love about cooking for myself? I can cook anything I like, the way I like it. Seems like all my friends have issues with one major food group or another, hate things I love, are on some kind of diet, can't handle the spicy, etc.

My scampi recipe calls for 5 cloves of garlic, 4 tablespoons of butter, and 4 tablespoons of olive oil. It'll make two portions for me (the other half is for lunch tomorrow). And see, I'm good with consuming that much fat and garlic in a single meal.

ETA:

only you'd be well advised not to kiss me for the next couple of days.

I just peeled three massive heads of garlic and used it for the stuffing of my cabbage rolls. The only thing that has me wondering is the gamey venison I got. I thought it was like the other venison this guy had given me but apparently it was from a different deer. It's seriously gamey and I dumped it in without realizing this. I'm hoping the massive amounts of garlic and spices I used will counter or cover this.

I only mention it because I'm not afraid of garlic. :)

If you were afraid you'd be a vampire.
Or a chihuahua. Both are disgusting suckers.

I'll give all three of you a big kiss -- you, Artee, and Kelly. Come 'ere and take what's coming to you.

ETA: by the way, I'm buttery and boozy as well as garlicky. How can I fail to be delicious?

I would but I have pertussis, pneumonia, shingles, and polio. Probably better if you avoid me for a day or two.

Two pages into the new thread, and it is already repulsive and perverse.

Haggis? Remember what I told you about every thread I'm in getting all weird and twisted? It's totally happening again.

With all of that and the cooking, who wouldn't want to kiss you
