So why did I bother to start a new thread about what's basically a self-publishing front for Donalie Beltran's Murder is a Family Affair?

CALLING ALL AUTHORS!

We are soliciting funny stories of a aging nature. If you have had a hilarious event about something you can't do as well as 10-20-30 years ago, write it down!

KTP will pay all expenses to get this book to market, so there will not be any compensation for your story, however, you will see your name in print - in yet another book! You can submit up to 2 stories!

Deadline is August 1, 2015. You will be notified by April 30th if your story has been selected for publication.

Please, keep your story to about 2K words. We reserve the right to edit or shorten the story, if needed.

We will combine all the best stories into one book. You will be notified of its release date. Thank you, and good luck!

So you won't get paid, your story might be butchered and you can wave your first publication rights goodbye, but "you will see your name in print"...and that's the important thing, isn't it?

Beltran's own book is the winner of the '2015 Gold Medal Award for True Crime', which sounds impressive until you look closely at the sticker and realise that it's from the Readers' Favorite vanity award factory.
