I know that a lot of it depends on the execution but I wondered if the overall plot is appealing and might attract some readers.

The plot summery goes as such:
Issac, a computer programming and hacking prodigy, is denied of his university scholarship and finds himself unable to pay for his tuition. In order to get the money he ends up stealing some through the dark web from another user. After going into hiding, fearing that the user might try and retaliate against him Issac is contacted by him. Impressed by Issac's ability to steal from him and stay in hiding he offered that the two will meet in a public area so that they could talk. After the user pays up for his entire tuition Issac agrees to the stranger's meeting. The user of which he stole from reveals himself to be a representative of a dark web syndicate who were so impressed by Issac's hacking that they've decided to invite him to join them. Issac is then thrown into the world of organized cyber crime, new world order, high tech corporation and deeper into the uncharted realms of the dark web.

xlol, just had to bring the NWO into this eh?

That aside, I feel the wording in the summary could be better, but the plot seems like it could be intriguing if as you said, it were executed properly

If Isaac is so much a prodigy, fifty colleges, and a hundred other places, would gladly give him a free ride. In all likelihood, so would a number of government agencies. Prodigies like that can always get a free ride.

What James said. You can fix that though. Had free ride to college, then blew it; government picked him up and he blew that too (maybe some minor hacking crime, crummy attitude, even mental illness). Now, other options closed off to him, he turns to stealing.

What would this lead to exactly? What is the plot? Perhaps the organisation forces him to do something he has a problem with and believe he owes them, but what exactly would they do to him if he refused?
