Hello everyone! I'd like to introduce myself, I'm not a "real" writer as many of you must be, but I have some experience writing a book and heard this was the best group out there to learn from. Not much to say really, I'm running a business, a corporation, and 2 side jobs- both the side jobs have to do with writing

So, I'm happy to find a forum that is so busy and look forward to checking out the wealth of info here!

I hope you'll find this place to suit your needs. It's pretty great!

Don't sell yourself short, though -- it seems like you're a busy individual and still find the time to keep writing, even if they are as side jobs. That's more real than a lot of people! So, you're just as real as any writer out there, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Take some time and read the Newbie Guide and the Stickies found
at the top of Forum pages. They are your best guide to learning about
Absolute Write.

Please read the FAQ about posting photos.

In fact we have lots of brilliant FAQs check them out.

Members who want to start a thread in Share Your Work to have work critiqued need
50 posts. Don’t make a mad dash to reach your 50 posts. That is frowned upon and can lead to your posts being deleted.
Take some time to greet fellow newbies, critique other members’ works, or join a discussion.

Welcome! I'm not sure what you mean by real writer?? I consider you a real writer by simply posting this thread.

So, what is your genre or what are you currently working on?

And I completely agree with everyone else. If you're stringing words together and you call yourself a writer, then you're a 'real' writer. Don't look down on yourself

Hello!

I'm new here too, and coincidentally, I also don;t consider myself a writer ... just a person who manages to write some things here and there. But then again, we are now (being on this site) surrounded by real writers, so maybe we'll sooner go on calling ourselves writers. Anyway, just want to say hi to a fellow newbie. Hope all is well!
