Hello!
I've been querying my second manuscript (first is shelved) and getting much more positive feedback. One agent seemed very close to taking me on and gave really wonderful feedback/advice, that I am considering. This week I got feedback from another agent who read my manuscript and hers was less verbose. She said,
"While I found much to recommend, I’m sorry to report I didn’t feel myself connecting to the story in the way I’d need to in order to be the best advocate for this project. I trust you won’t have trouble finding someone who disagrees with me and I wish you all the best."
And I'm wondering-- is this just lip service, a form rejection, or do you think she really means that she thinks someone else will take on my project? I know none of us our mind readers but . . .
Thanks!
