I started right away! Here's my first line
It should be illegal to be awake this early, Isaac thought as he rolled --quite literally-- out of bed, landing on the floor in a tangled mess of bedsheets and fifteen year old.
It's been an hour and a half. This year I actually know what to write. And I'm sitting here nearly in tears because I can't get the bloody thing started. I am the worst with opening lines.
I'd say it could be more exciting, but what is more exciting than pitch conditions?
ETA: Ah, Thalassa, cheer up. Just skip the first line--or para, or scene--and start later. You can always write them later. Or just decide it's better to start later.
