So far it seems there has been only one request to see the full ms ... at least on this list. Wondering if there are more, not listed here. Anyone know?

By my count, only 62 people are participating here, while AR says they received 1,118 proposals. Assuming we are a reasonably representative group (an impossible assumption to test), I'd expect 17 other requests for full somewhere out in the world: (1/62)*1,118=18

However, there's no way to prove that unless AR chooses to share that information.

Looks like I got left out of the table! My sub was one 1/31, WTF category if I remember right... Checked submittable earlier and I'm still in 'received' status. Honestly figured I'd have an R by now.

Edit: Just seen SPBspec's post below: I'm pretty sure mine didn't go to 'In Progress' either as I checked submittable a couple of days ago. I guess either 1 reader was enough to make the call or they're doing a batch of pruning based on subject?

Didn't even make it to In Progress. Just received the R. Not surprised really as I didn't realise until after I entered that they didn't want YA. I just hoped the horror content would get me through. Ah well never mind. I have recently decided to rewrite as Adult. But saying that I'm still waiting to hear back from the Gollancz open door.

We thought we’d better give you an update on our progress working through the (virtual) mountain of submissions from the recent Open Door period. As you may recall, by the closing date at the end of January we had received an unexpected 1,118 novel proposals. Yes, that’s an absolute fuck-ton, but unexpected, you say? Well, yeah – last time we had pulled in a little over 600, so to be honest we were probably expecting around the same again. As a result, well, while the Robots have been reading tirelessly, as you may imagine it’s been taking longer than we anticipated.
We’ve managed to work through around two-thirds of the initial submissions. We have rejected plenty, some quite easily (we still don’t publish non-fiction, or books for the under-fives, for example) but others only after a lot of argument. We’ve also called in a fair number of full manuscripts – and yes, these also now need reading. Did someone mention Sisyphus?
So, if you haven’t had a note from us yet, but did get an email when you originally submitted, we’ve not forgotten you. We’ve just not got to your proposal yet. If you need or wish to Withdraw your book for whatever reason, or send it out to other publishers at the same time, by all means do so, we won’t stand in your way. Just keep us in the loop and if necessary log in to the Submittable page in the usual way.

Got my R today too. Straight from "received" to "rejection".

I received my rejection early today. It came with a pleasant note, but it is still an R.
