I'm a new member. Currently writing mostly in the SF area. I have a number of books published through Smashwords but am always looking for new ideas and to learn how others working in the same area deal with common concerns. Seems to me that getting noticed is the hardest part of being an author. I've been writing for a long time, but also holding down a full-time job. I'm giving that up in 2 years and going full-time. Recently, I've been spending time between books working on my short SF, in the hopes I can break into some of the short fiction venues.
I'll be checking out the sf-related threads in the near future.
