Hi all,
I'm a n00b here so apologies if this is not the right place for this.

I'm trying to load the List Your Specialist Subjects thread in the Story Research forum, but it does not load for me if I am logged in. If I log out, it loads fine, but of course then I can't post! All other threads I've tried so far seem to work fine while logged in, there seems to be something odd about this one in particular.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice?

Thanks!

I'm not having any problem, but what kind of hardware/OS are you using?

Are you on dialup or broadband?

Have you tried the universal solution of:

Logging off
Deleting Web browser Cookies (make sure you know your log in)
Clearing Cache and History on your Web browser
Completely closing all Web browser windows and shutting down the browser
Logging in again

I tried clearing cookies, cache, and history but I'm still getting the same behavior. I also tried incognito mode, and using a different computer. No matter what I do, if I'm logged in, I can't view the thread. I just get a blank white page.

I'm using Chrome on Windows 7 and Windows 10.

This is very strange. The rest of the forums are working fine, but I was hoping to be able to post to the "List Your Specialist Subject" thread because I thought some other writers might find my expertise useful (I'm a planetary scientist).

Try a different browser. I always have a bunch of them for odd things like this. Lately Opera has gotten me through a few times when nothing else worked. I particularly remember one huge page of photos that was mostly blank in everything else. Opera loaded it -- and I was able to spot the most awesome typo.

Just tried with Opera and got the same result: a blank white page. Maybe I should just contact a mod for that thread and ask them to post my info for me...

Hmm, sounds like an idea. This is an odd case. I know I had a similar problem in another forum once, but dashed if I can remember how it worked out. :( The use-other-browser trick usually gets me through.
