Morning Cantina.
After more waffling than probably necessary, I sent out a submission today with a silly salutation line. The market's submission guidelines linked to an article on cover letters, wherein the author (genuinely) said her personal favorite salutation was "Dear Gentlebeings" and so I thought , "If the market endorses this article, and this article endorses this salutation, then the market endorses this salutation. Hurrah for the Transitive Property, always knew math would help me out someday."
I still feel like maybe it was a bad idea, but oh well. It's one sub.
TL;DR - I've got a cover letter out there that starts with the phrase, "Dear Gentlebeings."
