Yair . . .

Hello folks.

Does any one else have problems using the 'edit' function on this board?

I have tried to do alterations on several posts and it always seems to glitch.

Cheers.

Yes, I have problems with it too. But it's only sometimes, not every time. And when I refresh the page it'll work.

Thanks for replies, I'll try the refresh caper for starters . . . I'm not much into computers but they are better than my old HB pencil and exercise book. (big grin)

Cheers.

I have this problem. I click "submit" or whatever for my changes and it just greys out and does nothing. Could be my slow connection, though.

If you're on a slow connection, you might have better luck if you turn off some or all of the images in the Forums.

  1. Go to Settings (top right of the window)
  2. Click General Settings (see the sidebar on the left)
  3. Scroll down to Thread Display Options
  4. Pick the options you want for images under the heading Visible Post Elements
  5. Scroll down and make sure you click the Save button on the bottom right

The other thing to try is using a different post editor

  1. Go to Settings (top right of the window)
  2. Click General Settings (see the sidebar on the left)
  3. Scroll down to Miscellaneous Options
  4. Under the heading Message Editor Interface consider using a different Editor
  5. Scroll down and make sure you click the Save button on the bottom right

I know mine's not slowness that's causing that. It doesn't do anything. As in there's no indication that it's processing. But when it does work, it lets me know it's processing.

Are you attempting to edit the title of a post that you wrote some time ago?

We lock down the ability after a short while.

Or the body, or both?

No, it's always the body. I don't start threads much, so I would say it's posts in threads started by others. And when it happens I can't even cancel the edit. I have to either refresh or leave and come back to the thread.
