Well, the synopsis needs more work (and the query) but I'm satisfied with the progress I've made this month. So I'm calling my goals completed (unless I fail at the last one in the remaining days). I'll just potter about doing bits and pieces, hopefully read another book, for the rest of the month.

Hope everyone else is progressing with goals.

1. Edit final six chapters UF 6/6
2. Get one page/two page synopsis vaguely into shape Shaped. Will still need editing.
3. Get query into QLH shape In QLH (torn apart, redone, torn apart...)
4. Edit and sub flash story Finished, subbed
5. Read four books 4/4
6. 500 words and/or 2 pages edited minimum per day Hitting

Having all this company has really done a number on my writing. I got a bit written the first day my husband was in town (he hadn't slept the night before so I got about 600 words in), but the rest of the weekend was a bust although it was great seeing him. He was supposed to fly home Monday night but we were halfway into our 1.5 hour drive to the Birmingham airport when he got a text that the flight was canceled. So back to Montgomery, and up at 3:30 a.m. to take him to Atlanta (a 2 hour drive) to catch a different flight. Four solid hours in the car and such an early morning really did me in: couldn't get my brain to function enough to write before it was time for the evening show. We only have a matinee today, so I'm hoping the evening will be productive. I'm not holding out any hope for completing my writing goals. :p

Well, kind of a frustrating end to Camp month. I could have (and did) write more actual words in the past couple days than my count reflects, but I had to keep rewriting a scene until I got it right. I'm happy with the way it ultimately turned out, but man, it was like passing a kidney stone.

Off to start the thread for next month.

I've got an updated number, but I actually a few days ago when I wrote, not today, but I can't remember what day it was so I'm just going to count it towards today.

Progress (Day 31):

WIP #1: 38,733/70,000 (0 new words)
WIP #2: 49,335/100,000 (0 new words)

Series
Book 1: 7,214/50,000 (51 new words)
Book 2: 40,844/50,000 (0 new words)
Book 3: 2,252/50,000 (3 new words)
Book 4: 4,157/50,000 (0new words)

Total new words: 54

This is what I started out with:
WIP #1: 37,684/70,000 (1,049 new words)
WIP #2: 48,815/100,000 (520 new words)

Series
Book 1: 6,107/50,000 (1,107 new words)
Book 2: 40,844/50,000 (0 new words)
Book 3: 1,460/50,000 (792 new words)
Book 4: 3,341/50,000 (816 new words)

Total new words: 4,284

Considering I was put out of commission for the majority of the month (only wrote 6 days), I'm satisfied with the progress I made.
