As a lifelong Kinks fan, I'm kind of 'meh' on the whole Beatlemania thing. But I do like their music, and some of the post-Beatles stuff, especially George's and Paul's. (Which is funny - people say McCartney needed Lennon as a counterpart to shine, but I think it was the other way around. Most of Lennon's post-Beatles work just bores me.)
My favorite Beatles albums are Rubber Soul and Revolver, because they're moving beyond the song formula but still staying true to their songwriting strengths. My favorite post-Beatle recordings must be the McCartney/Elvis Costello ones - actually, both albums, Flowers in the Dirt and Spike, are among their respective best, even though they only collaborated on two songs each (I think).
