Hello!

I'd like find out from others if anyone has had any experience with APA Talent & Literary Agency?

I am able to speak to someone over the phone when I call but when looking at their website, they don't provide any samples of books that they have worked with?
Perhaps they are new in the literary agent business?

Their website: http://www.apa-agency.com/literary.aspx

They seem legit, but maybe they just haven't done enough in the literary world yet to brag about on their website. If you have Publisher's Marketplace, you can check there to see if they have any sales, or you can Google their name. Maybe Old Hack or someone can provide some insight.

The web page says the agency was founded in 1962. I didnt notice any mention of when they took up literary representation but it looks like their main gig is performance entertainment.

Oh, they've definitely done stuff they could brag about. Steve Fisher of APA is the guy who negotiated the film deal with Paramount for Lee Child's Jack Reacher books. Here's an article that gives a bit of background on him at the bottom: http://saltcaywritersretreat.com/film-agent-steve-fisher-on/

Just popping in to say that if anyone would like to listen to a brand-new podcast by Steve Fisher on assessing your book's film potential, he talked about this recently for "Write Here, Write Now," a podcast series on writing that I'm putting together with faculty from my Salt Cay Writers Retreat interviewed by agents from Folio Literary Management (my agency).
