AW Haiku

Five seven five +,
Does not work for me. I need
structure, a girdle!

Exhibit A: first draft--

White: Queen Anne's Lace, Pasture Poppy,
Yellow: Compass Flower, Tickseed.
White and yellow: Butter and Eggs
Red: wild plum thicket, cranesbill
Green wheat shot with gold
That rusty pumping unit certainly ruins the landscape.
On the other hand, I sure would not mind having it on my landscape.

illusion, wishful thinking

The hearts flutter from the trees
Mingled with the leaves.

Leaning on my hoe
I can see beyond this spring,
this garden, this life.
