getting rid of a dead "all in one"

Do those things have a memory chip or hard drive or whatever that you need to be concerned about before turning it in for recycling?

If you mean an all in one computer, yes, they have a hard drive that still contains everything you put on it.

Yeah it was one of those printer/copier/fax/scanner things. I was told by a source not from AW, that they do have some kind of memory. So I told my friend (who is even more clueless about things tech than I am) to take it to the place that helps her with her laptop and have them remove the whatever.

I doubt very much if anyone can retrieve your info from that machine, we give our old ones to charity shops.
