The AW Outage Goals Thread

I'm actually going to be doing some overtime this weekend, so this outage isn't going benefit me as much as it normally would. But I'll squeeze in writing in between, so I'm still going to post some goals. I'm going to post three tiers and aim for the highest, but if I meet the lowest, I'll still be happy.

Tier 1
Flesh out opening from Beta Swap excerpt
Write 250 words in each book of a series (4 books), for a total of 1,000 words

Tier 2
Flesh out opening from Beta Swap excerpt
Write 500 words in each book of a series (4 books), for a total of 2,000 words

Tier 3
Flesh out opening from Beta Swap excerpt
Write 1,000 words in each book of a series (4 books), for a total of 4,000 words

I've a busy weekend coming up but not being able to lurk on AW will free up some time.

Goals:

Write 2000 words

Read 1 book

Outline one novel & one short story

1. To take Mac's advice and write-period.
2. Meet my own personal length goal.

Well, I wrote the 3k-ish words (1 chapter) of Little House, but did not, in fact, do any editing. Eh, good enough.

So yea, two out of three done. I figured for #3, I'd just, you know, read through and then give comments once I knew how the story flowed. Buuut I can't apparently. Not my style. So I got a portion of betaing done instead. I'm considering it a fair trade. How'd everyone else do?

I finished both chapter and story. I'm pretty sure I finished the story before AW went down and the chapter after it came back up, but it was before I came back on, so I'm counting it.

I meant to cut down my WIP (story finished, in revision) a significant amount. It had 516 pages, now it's down to 504! Removing "that" alone, has purged some 8 lines... And I even got to add stuff.

I decided to edit some pages, and I can confirm, I definitely edited some pages.

I also watched a LOT of Daredevil on Netflix, and probably could've edited more if I hadn't, but... um.... yeah... (It was SO GOOD).
