Meijer Expands Recall To Include Meijer Artisan Made Natural Muenster Cheese And Pre-Made Ham Subs

Meijer expanded its list of recalled items to now include its Meijer brand Artisan Made Natural Muenster Cheese and its pre-wrapped Ham Sub on Artisan White Baguette due to a potential cross contamination with Listeria. The affected Meijer brand Artisan Made Natural Muenster Cheese was located on “cheese islands” within the Retailer’s Deli section and has the expiration dates of Mar. 28, 2017, May 13, 2107, and June 10, 2017. The Meijer pre-made Ham Sub on Artisan White Baguette was located in its “grab-and-go” fresh deli cases with sell by dates between Nov. 2, 2016 and Dec. 30, 2016.

The Meijer brand Artisan Made Natural Muenster Cheese will have the UPC 8-86926 27573-5. The Meijer deli- made Ham Sub on Artisan White Baguette has the UPC Code 7-13733 76499-5.

Vulto Creamery Issues Voluntary Recall of All Soft, Wash-Rind Raw Milk Cheeses

Vulto Creamery, Walton, New York, is recalling all lots of Ouleout, Miranda, Heinennellie, and Willowemoc soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses out of an abundance of caution due to testing result from the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which found Ouleout lot # 617 positive for Listeria and New York Department of Agriculture and Markets finding the possible contamination of Ouleout lot #623.

The soft raw milk cheeses were distributed nationwide, with most being sold at retail locations in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States, California, Chicago, Portland and Washington, DC.

Landies Candies Co. Inc. of Buffalo, NY is recalling its 3-oz packages of “WEGMANS Milk Chocolate Big Ear Bunny Sucker”, Net Wt 3 oz, Lot # 35016, Best by 9-15-2017 because they may contain undeclared peanuts. The recalled WEGMANS MILK CHOCOLATE (BIG EAR BUNNY) SUCKER” were distributed regionally in all Wegmans retail stores.

The product is shipped within a carton labeled with an orange label as “WEGMANS SWISS RECIPE Milk Chocolate Big Ear Bunny Sucker (3 oz 36 count case). The individual product contains a lavender label and read Wegmans Milk Chocolate Sucker, comes in a 3-oz., clear plastic flow wrap 6” long by 2” wide and is marked with lot # 35016 and with an expiration date of 9-15-2017 stamped on the lower left corner.

SoyNut Butter is available in Original Creamy, Chunky, Honey Creamy, Unsweetened and Chocolate. A&H Focal Inc. Issues Nationwide Recall of 29 Products Marketed as Dietary Supplements

A&H Focal Inc. is voluntarily recalling all lots of multiple products because many of these products have been historically tested by the FDA and found to contain PDE-5 Inhibitors (i.e. sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, etc.) which is the active ingredient in an FDA-approved drug for erectile dysfunction (ED) making these tainted dietary supplements unapproved drugs.


These undeclared active ingredients poses a threat to consumers because the PDE-5 Inhibitors may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.

In response to Vulto Creamery’s recall of soft wash- rind raw milk cheeses, Whole Foods Market is voluntarily recalling the products from nine stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine and New York out of an abundance of caution. Vulto Creamery issued the recall due to testing result from the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which found Ouleout lot # 617 positive for Listeria monocytogenes and New York Department of Agriculture and Markets finding the possible contamination of Ouleout lot #623.


The recall includes Vulto Creamery Ouleout and Miranda soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses which were cut and packaged in clear plastic wrap with scale labels beginning with PLU codes 0200305 and 0200306 and "sell by" dates from 12/27/2016 to 03/28/2017.

Aroma Imports Inc. of Dearborn Heights, MI, is recalling 450 g and 4.5 kg packages of Nabelsi brand Thyme because the products have the potential to contain excessive levels of lead. The recalled Nabelsi Thyme was distributed from Nov. 7, 2016 until Feb. 22, 2017 to retailers, food service establishments, and wholesalers in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey and Virginia.

The 450 g size (UPC: 4670000205314) is packaged in a mostly green foil/mylar bag that is not transparent on either side. The 4.5 kg size (UPC: 6670000205374) packaging is a silver foil/mylar bag. The production date for both sizes is 08/20/2016 and the expiration date is 08/20/2018. The production and expiration dates can be found on the back lower left corner of the 450 g package and back lower right of the 4.5 kg package. The 450 g packages are packed 24 per case and the 4.5 kg packages are packed 2 per case.

Riviana Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling 610 cases of certain coded Ronzoni® Thin Spaghetti cartons that may contain an egg fettuccine product. The affected Ronzoni Thin Spaghetti cartons do not declare the allergen “egg”, which is an ingredient in the egg fettuccine product. The affected product was processed at a Riviana co-manufacturer’s facility on January 20, 2017.

ChloroFields of Lawrence, KS is recalling 20 cases of Asian Microgreens, because they have potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The products were distributed throughout Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri, and were made available through retail grocery stores.

The product comes in a 1.5 oz clamshell, and is identified as Asian Mix Microgreens with a sell by date of 3/26/2017. The sell by date is located on a white sticker on the bottom of the container. The UPC number of the product is 853763007096.

Sunshine Bakery of Alhambra, CA is voluntarily recalling CASSAVA CAKE AND MIXED NUT MOONCAKE with best by dates of 3/24/2017. The products were sold to retail stores in 2/24/2017. Envy Me is recalling LaBri’s Body Health Atomic, dietary supplement marketed for weight loss, sold in 60 capsule, plastic bottles. The recall includes all lot codes, manufacturing codes and expiration dates.

The United States Food and Drug Administration has analyzed samples of La Bri’s Body Health Atomic and found it to contain the undeclared ingredient sibutramine. Sibutramine is a controlled substance that was removed from the market in October 2010 for safety reasons.
