People are so interesting!

Personally, I'm a fan of my Zojirushi rice cooker and the Solemates Sock of the Month club. It's a great rice cooker. They're great socks.

Can't imagine I'd post about them somewhere every week, though. Unless they were paying me, of course. (Preferably in free socks. I don't need another rice cooker.)

Mmm...socks...

Could you steam your socks in the rice cooker? Something to consider if you live where the winters are harsh...

Now that's an interesting question! Hmm.

I know people make bread in rice cookers. Robert Ebert (I think) had a whole article about how the rice cooker is the single most useful object in the world.

I could probably steam socks, but I'd be afraid I'd hurt the cooker and my next batch of rice would taste like feet.

Wouldn't you have to wash them first, like veggies? (At least I always wash the veggies. Not necessarily socks - depends on how late I am for work. Hm. TMI, maybe?)

I feel like no matter how much I washed them, there would still be Essence of Sock there. Sock is one of the elements.

If if I cut it apart and made a rag, though, that would be fine. This deprives it of Essential Sockness and it could be used in the rice cooker safely.

...shut up, that's how it works in my head.

I love my lined boots, I don't have to hunt for socks any more.

Does KPF have any self published books out, herself?

Thank for the thread derails. Now back to the regular schedule programming for those who are interested in Kindle Unlimited and its relevant information.

Here's the May, June, July payout:

KOLL/KU Global Fund for May was $10.8 million (average payout $1.37) full month of KOLL and KU -----------------7.88 millon borrows
KOLL/KU Global Fund for June was $11.3 million (average payout $1.35) full month of KOLL and KU-----------------8.37 million borrows

KOLL/KU Global Fund for July was $11.5 million (average payout per KENP is $0.005779)---------------------------1,989,963,661 pages (KENP) read

Which average out to $11.2 million a month for May, June, July.

For those interested, Nook payout to all publishers was $8.67 million a month for Feb, March, April. Kindle Unlimited payout is now a lot bigger than Nook payout. The the gap will only grow in the future since Kindle Unlimited payout is increasing while Nook payout is decreasing.

Amazon is also paying out over $1.1 million USD in KDP Select All-Star bonuses each month. This is separate from the KDP Select Global Fund.

What do you mean by "Nook payout"? Does Nook have a subscription service? If not, then you're comparing apples to kumquats.

Edit: And, to resurrect a beloved trope: "How does this make you feel?"

The payout for my socks last month was 12.99, but I also get a Sock-Of-The-Month-Club delivery from Foot Cardigan, so actual sock revenues were higher, if you average them over the course of the year. ALao, they were purple.

Shoe payouts were 48.99, but there was a sale and those results were not typical.

I encourage everyone to share their relevant sock numbers!

What I find interesting is katyperryfan completely missed linkspamming the thread where AWers talk about their experience with KU 2.0 (including numbers before and after the switchover).

Also, it's summer, so I am sockless and will remain so until I absolutely have to stick those things on my feet again.

I am totally looking forward to winter. Summer this year muscled into Spring's territory and has been squatting here ever since.
