As a new member, I am eager to ask for advice on proceeding with my work but I cant find an appropriate place to post my questions. I had one post moved to the proper place and do not want to make that mistake again.

It sort of depends. There is Basic Writing, Roundtable, and specific forums for various genres. There is also a Brainstorming SYW forum.
We generally don't mind moving posts as long as someone is making an effort to post in the right forum. We know that it's sometimes hard for a new member to figure out the best place to post something (and sometimes it's hard for the moderators as well). It takes only a few seconds for a moderator to move a post.
