This is pretty much what I say to myself every morning.

There is a big prison in Barstow, I think. That's where sg lives.

This reminds me of a funny from my childhood. I grew up in CO and there's a big maximum security prison there and whenever we would drive past it, my mom would tell us kids, "Don't ever pick up hitchhikers along this road." It makes me laugh because isn't picking up hitchhikers a bad idea, even if it's not right next to a prison. I have four siblings. It's a miracle all of us survived.

I grew up sorta-kinda buy a prison, too. They used to tell us ON THE NEWS not to pick up hikers along I-15 because they could be escapees. But yeah, other places must have been fine!

The Green Mile and other movies have been filmed there.

I loved The Green Mile, second only to Shawshank Redemption.

There were other movies that were partially filmed there, Walk the Line, The Last Castle (with Robert Redford), and the greatest movie of all time, Earnest Goes to Jail.

Earnest Goes To Jail. A fine specimen of cinematography.

I did like Walk The Line, actually. Quite a bit.

I'm off to the grocery store.

The grocery store is my church. I don't want to go, but feel I must. I spend a lot of time worshiping in the liquor aisle.
