Good afternoon, all. I don't have much to say, but I thought I should poke my head in because apparently some people were worried about me. Life is just doing its usual stuff and I'm trying to deal with it. I'll be back later when I'm fit for company. :)

:Hug2: Good to see you. You don't have to be fit for company here. We'll take you just as you are.

Pants are not required.

Except at work. Apparently.

Sat Nam! (literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

Okay, I've read all the posts from the time my hard drive crashed. (Laptop is still in the hospital; I'm using Mr. Siri's machina.) Sooo...

Congrats, greendragon! I love the Children of Lyr story, so I'm looking forward to your version.

McLesh, you can have cheese if you're a vegetarian, as long as it uses vegetable rennet.

Good work with the truck, Gail!

Happy Fall, everyone! This calls for pie! Bringing in some apple pie in honor of the season.

Blessings,

Siri Kirpal

Youch! But good to see you back. :D
Thanks. The cold weather is setting in, along with damp. I really do need to get a dehumidifier for this place, but first up, refilling the oil tank. Only place I've ever lived that has oil heat, and I'm way paranoid about running out. $300 minimum for having them out, will get me about half a tank. Oy.

The good news is, that should last me a cpl months, from what other folks in the area have told me.

Super terrific. I hope your life is calming down. :)
Not really calming down, more like...in btwn waves, if that makes any sense at all.

Okay, who made all that noise? You woke me up.

Oh, it's that dog. It's always the dog. It's a Canadian dog at that. They bark funny. "Eh?, bark, eh?, bark, eh?, bark."

They're very good at ice hockey, though.

Just remember, everything in Canada will have to do with ice hockey in some manner. If in doubt, just assume the person being discussed is a hockey player, was a hockey player, or will become a hockey player. In this case, Tim Horton was a hockey player. Even if you're wrong, it won't matter if you're talking to a Canadian. Just mentioning hockey will distract them from anything else.

There was a little girl in a straw hat just waiting to dig in. I might substitute mashed potatoes for the yams.

It was from The Thinking Vegan. I ignored the vegan part.

It's all beginning to become clear.

Let me pour you another pumpkin spice coffee and we can talk about it.
