I joined this site after it was promoted during a Writer's Digest University course. The instructor was asked about good online writing groups and this was the suggested place to go.

At this time I am unpublished, so a normal peon. Hopefully, within a month I will have 3 short stories to publish online. Currently they are being looked over by a freelance editor and I should be receiving the first revision today. Already she has told me I need stronger beginnings.

Beyond those 3 i also have a number of other short stories in various state of being written. One is completed and needs to be polished while the others need to be written out some more.

Additionally, I also am working on a novel that i intend to have technically don't by February and polished by the end of April. Its a story about a female serial killer who starts her "career" while in college. I plan on it being in the Horror genera, just beacuse its a serial killer novel. I am attempting to use the nastiness of the human mind as my method of entertainment as opposed to the traditional supernatural/paranormal elements of horror. Will it work, probably not. doesn't mean I cant try anyway.

I look forward to learning as much as I can from the site. Thank you very much.

I love the idea of your book. I assume you mean "technically done" instead of "technically don't," am I right?

My novel is also in the editing phase, which I hope to have done by the end of this month. Looks like we're in approximately the same spot, so well done, mcv.

Do you plan on publishing your short stories together or separately?
