Will you accept snark about Seattle?

    Ms. Wales looks solid, though.

One of her clients listed on that page is Dan Savage. You could try emailing him and asking what he thinks. mail [at] savagelove [dot] net. He's extremely popular, though, so I don't know if he'd be able to respond.

Wales Literary requested a partial from me several months ago...eventually declined, but she was quick and gave a few pointers.

FYI - I queried using the e-mail address on her website: waleslit@waleslit.com, and it bounced back to me.

I just went to agent query and saw her e-mail listed as: elizabeth.wales@waleslit.com

    This one hasn't bounced yet.

She's very nice and completely honest, and she rejected me, which says all kinds of good things about her judgment.

Nothing more than she's a member of AAR, and she has a web site: http://www.waleslit.com.
On the site is a list of authors she represents.

    Partial requested

I have a partial with them right now. Neal Swain is the main person with whom I have been in contact. She is very nice and was even willing to overlook my addressing her as 'Mr.' Swain. Wales is completely legitimate. Dan Savage is a client you may have heard of.

Anyone with recent experience with this agency?

    Here are my stats:

    EQ sent 11/17/11
    Partial request 11/21/11
    Full request 12/14/11

I got an email confirming receipt and gave an estimated response time of January or early February. I'm waiting (though not very patiently). I'm in that weird state of wondering if the length of time without a reply is a good or a bad thing. Ah, hope. They appear pretty quick based on QT stats. So, if anyone can ease my mind with some info I sure would appreciate it.
