I started something new. 500 words in - not a lot, but it's a start.
Lady Sparkles, SparklePony, The SparklePony of DOOOOOM, Sparkles, Sparkles McModderson, The Sparkler, Sparklegee, The Sparkling Portuguee... I think I see a pattern here. Oh, and Horny McPoarny.

I'm re-writing my novella. I really like what I'm doing, too. I just hope I can get it done in time for the deadline. Had I known it was this bad, I would have started earlier, but I thought it was fine. That's what happens when you let something sit for 7 months without looking at it.

I've been without my laptop most of this week. Been working on subbing and writing articles for a horror website lately though otherwise.

That horror website seems to be helping you out a lot. That's great.

Well, I had a good July. One book sold, but over 1000 pages read on Kindle Unlimited. Not sure if that has anything to do with writing articles or not, since I still don't have a bio up though. But it's got me reading and watching Horror again, and I'm keeping up on Horror news and stuff now.

I'm soooo excited about the novel I'm working on. Mostly just outlining now. The real wordage will come starting in Sept.

Ted, did you ever get a chance to watch Candle Cove?

Yes, I did. And I liked it.

Yay for new novels, Soapy! And hiya!

Methinks you Hounds might get a chuckle out of these.

Tonight, I have a ton of work to do, but I'm happy to do it. I've never had this much enjoyment out of a re-write before. I think that says something about how much of an improvement this second time is.

Yay for rewrites, Ted! I'm doing the same. Just added a new scene to the novella today. Letting it rest before I tweak it and then redo the opening to the next scene. Progress feels good, doesn't it?

It does! And you know that short story you beta-read for me? Well, I'm still working on it. I just got it rejected this past week, and the rejection was the best one I've ever gotten. Basically, it came with 3 paragraphs of notes on how good it was but what needed to be fixed. I have high hopes for that story and I've developed it into something I think is special.

That's awesome, Ted! I really liked that story. Keep me posted when it's published.

Oh, I will. I'll brag like crazy because it's been a while since I've had a win.

Right now, I'm trying to hurry up and get this novella finished because the call for subs I'm sending it to ends at the end of the month.

Sounds like you're heading towards a win, Ted.

I've had a pretty good weekend myself. Finally fixed my formatting issues for my alien book and have some copies on the way to send out. Got two new articles up on the website too. Got two short stories out on submissions, getting close to their averages for replies too.

    Oh, and hi Tiddles.

This may be the year of the Hounds yet.

I got a lot of editing done last night It was a very productive night and I'm looking forward to another one once I get off work in about an hour. I was impressed with how well it went last night, actually.
