I think, as writers, we can learn a great deal from the Legend trilogy.

Marie Lu's debut series is engaging and interesting. It's a dystopian novel, which may not seem so interesting since they may be abundant and all, but I'll go ahead and list the things I like:

(POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. :()
1. Lu's voice: Lu's voice is clear and strong, along with thrilling.
2. Lu's character development and plotting: The way the characters interact feels real, along with their relationships. June going from hating Day and wanting nothing but to bring him in to becoming his ally and eventual love interest.
3. Day and June are practically opposites: Day is a street criminal, and June is a prodigy for the Republic.

4. The romance: What's not to like here?


Anybody else like the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu? :D
