Okay -- words it'll be. I have two new chapters written and polished. Today I plan to get the third one finished (it's halfway there) and rejigger some other chapters to make more sense with the new parts. (I'm writing this here to make sure I can be held to account later tonight!!)

PS: Have you spoken to your doc?

My mother never let us walk around outside barefoot... well, she said we could, provided we could figure out how to take our feet off when we came in. lol

I've been sort of playing with photoshop today, considering doing some writing now... after lunch.

Hey, Jay. I have been doing a lot of photo editing using cellphone apps. It's not Photoshop or anything so cool, but I love making easy 'art'. lol. Faster than painting, for sure.

You guys make me want to write. The thing is...it's late and I need to get to bed.

Oh yeah. Lunch. Every time I think I have a giant block o' time to sit down and write, I realise "Oh, I need coffee" or "Oh, I need lunch" or "Oh, I should exercise" or "Oh, I need to put on the washing" or "Oh, I need to make dinner" and "Oh, I need to eat dinner."

Thinking about it ... it's not surprising most of my writing happens late at night!

I love photoshop. It's not easy, and the more I learn, the more I realize I still have to learn, but I'm making progress! And it's fun.

Yeah, chores do tend to intrude with annoying regularity when all you want to do is write. I guess I am very fortunate because I only do the chores I feel like doing. (the men in the house do the other stuff)

I have, however, eaten a yummy lunch, read three newspapers, watched a quarter of football, and gone for a decent run.

Ack, I'm mostly stuck because I'm not quite sure how to end this chapter. It already has decent conflict, but I feel like my MC needs a more concrete goal.

I should probably move to a different chapter and come back to this one once inspiration hits (as it always does, eventually). That's probably going to be more productive than reading and re-reading the first half of the chapter, waiting for my brain to fill in the rest.

Yep, probably a good idea to move on to something else.

Me, I have difficulty writing out of sequence, so when I'm stuck, I'm usually really stuck. I'm not currently stuck, just being lazy.

This is a little different to writing out of order, coz I'm currently just changing up a plotline. So there's already a good 30K written after the part I'm re-working, not all of which is impacted by the redone bits. There's just a few references here and there, and some characters' reactions and motivations need tweaking to make sense with the new reality.

If that makes any sense.

Almost time to make dinner though.

I just had my dinner. Guess I got no more excuses for procrastinating.

My dinner's all prepped and ready to go. Now I have ~ 30 minutes of writing time before I have to cook/eat. Let's see if I make good use of it.

I suspect it's going to be one of those days where a good game is talked, but no actual action takes place. Aside from that bit of photoshop playing this morning, I've done pretty much nothing all day.

Oh man, I've fallen off the wagon with a cheese and wine binge.
