Not necessarily. Urban fantasy is usually set in contemporary times and contains supernatural elements.

Now, we have the supernatural with the nose-wiggling witch, and the person disappearing and reappearing. However, the presence of the alien could tip it into sci-fi. It all depends on the setting.

The setting is a virtual-reality chat room!!

Just kidding. I have no idea. Is this a real story even?
