I haven't lost interest so much as... I'm looking for something specific to read, and not finding it, no matter what I try.

Great motivation, isn't it?

Okay, my exercise is done (and now I feel vaguely sick. Stupid HIIT). Now for some lunch and more reading. :)

Exercises that make you feel slightly ill? That does not sound like fun at all.

That's an ... interesting way to introduce yourself to a new room, Creep.

How's the cardigan going, Jay? My footy match has been ugh, to say the least. I'm giving up watching the end to do some writing instead.

Just ... ugh.

:hi:

Guten morgen, Lil.

I've been getting some writing done, my football team sucked beyond the telling of it, and now it's late and I should probably go to bed (but I won't).

How are you feeling this morning?

I'm doing okay, actually. Woke up early, got a good start on the day. Ate breakfast! Out and about already!

Sorry about your footy team. That's rough. But congrats on your writing!

Glad to hear you ate breakfast. :)

My match was pretty much over by half-time, so I had plenty of time to adjust to the suckage.

The wordssss are actually still coming, so I'm in and out here for now. What have you got planned for the day?

Hey gang. Not much writing done this weekend. I did put in a few hours of study though. My success rate on the MCQs is getting a bit better.

Evening, Al. :hi:

Study is a most worthwhile use of time. Good to hear the strike-rate's up. :D

It's up 'cause you keep picking "C" right? And the longest answer?

Yay for wordsssss!

I am supposed to be at a seminar today. Signed up for several awesome classes. But I'm not feeling it so I may just go home early.

Heh. Yeah. Some of them are real Dorothy Dixers: I suppose they have to throw in a few mercy questions. Others, though ... just pick C.

And there was one question where they admitted that one of the answers was totally made up. As in, a non-existent disease. It was an eye question ... had to match the acute red eye symptoms with the diagnosis. The made up disease was something like 'vernal kernitis'. Which I didn't put as the answer as I hadn't heard of it. Turns out that's a good thing.

Heh. Probably trying to stump you coz keratitis is a thing, and vernal keratoconjunctivitis is also a thing, so it'd sound plausible.

My thoughts, exactly.

I once had a MCQ question (I think for biochemistry) where none of the answers were correct. Like ... why? Surely the point is to check your knowledge, not try to trick you.

My personal pet-peeve is the ones where they ask, "Which answer is the most correct?" As far as I'm concerned, it's either correct or it isn't. Don't ask me to apply value judgements in the middle of a damn exam, assholes.

*clears throat*

Sorry, exam writers piss me off.

Being most or least correct is like being a little or a lot pregnant.

I'm around, sort of. I just popped in for my usual daily visit. I finally got my car washed and vacuumed out the inside. Damn, was it filthy. I also found a jug of ice tea under the passenger seat and have no idea how it got there.
