Hey all
My name is Shelley and I have been reading posts on here for a while but finally plucked up courage to register and say "hi"
I'm hoping to do some beta reading / critting at some point, I'm a details kind of girl. I love words and stories, I'm always reading, primarily romance, erotica and fantasy.
I download a lot of "free" books for my kindle (am I allowed to admit that ?) and nothing turns me off faster than poor attention to detail and spelling.
If you have taken the time to describe my heroine nervously getting ready for that all important first date, to the point of detailing the strappy dress that means she cannot wear a bra, DO NOT describe a scene later in the evening where he takes off said item !
I work as an auditor (day job, hence the details) and have worked through a proof reading course. I won a short children's story completion a few years back, with a story about a dragon with hiccups.
So in a nutshell here I am, hoping to make some friends and maybe help out / encourage some writers.
Cheers
Shelley
